Minecraft 1.21.30 Bedrock Update - September 2024 Changelog

The Minecraft 1.21.30 update for Bedrock Edition, released in September 2024, introduces some exciting new features and improvements, along with several bug fixes aimed at improving gameplay stability. This update also focuses on aligning Bedrock Edition with Java Edition to provide a more consistent experience across platforms.

New Features in Minecraft 1.21.30:
  • Bundles (Experimental Feature) – Bundles are now available for testing! They allow players to store different items in a single inventory slot, making inventory management more efficient. To use them, enable the Bundle experiment in world settings.
  • Rarity System – Items and blocks now have a rarity value, which shows how difficult it is to obtain them. For example, Elytra is now marked as "Epic" due to its rarity.
  • Screenshot Button – A new button has been added to the pause menu for capturing screenshots easily.
  • Villager Name Updates – Villager professions have been updated to match the Java Edition, such as renaming the “Stone Mason” to just “Mason”.
Key Adjustments and Bug Fixes:
  • Fox Parity Changes – Foxes now have the same health (10 HP) in both Java and Bedrock Editions.
  • Waterlogging Fix – Fixed a bug where retracting waterlogged blocks with Pistons caused "ghost water" to appear.
  • Sound Updates – Wither Skeletons now have their own footstep sounds, and the Basalt Deltas biome's moody ambient sound has returned.
  • User Interface Improvements – Several fixes were applied to the user interface, including improved chat scrolling and Realms backup display.
  • Performance Enhancements – Stability improvements to fix crashes when loading texture data and other performance-related bugs.
How to Enable Bundles:

To test Bundles, make sure you enable the Bundle Experiment when creating or modifying a world. They allow you to pack multiple items into one slot, making them an excellent feature for those who struggle with inventory space!

What's Next?

Looking forward, future updates will likely bring more customization options for blocks, camera enhancements, and even more robust features for content creators through the Creator API improvements.
