Defeating the Creaking in Minecraft: Everything You Need to Know

The Creaking is a new hostile mob introduced in Minecraft's latest Bundles of Bravery update. It inhabits the eerie Pale Garden biome, and it's not like any other mob you've encountered before. Here’s everything you need to know to defeat this terrifying new enemy.

What Is the Creaking?
The Creaking has a unique mechanic—it only moves when you're not looking at it. This makes it similar to the Weeping Angels from Doctor Who. The mob itself doesn’t have traditional health points. Instead, it’s tied to a special block called the Creaking Heart.

The Pale Garden biome is the only place where the Creaking spawns, and this happens only at night. The biome is filled with pale oak trees, which provide cover for this sneaky mob.

How to Defeat the Creaking
Killing the Creaking isn’t about hitting it with weapons; it’s all about destroying the Creaking Heart. Here's how to do it:
  • First, engage the Creaking. When attacked, it will release a trail of glowing particles.
  • Follow the particle trail—it will lead you to the Creaking Heart hidden inside one of the pale oak trees.
  • Use an axe to break the Creaking Heart. This will cause the Creaking to disappear with a cool animation.
  • If you want to collect the Creaking Heart, use an axe enchanted with Silk Touch.
The Creaking is a creepy, dangerous enemy, but with these tips, you'll be able to take it down with ease!

Why Explore the Pale Garden?
Aside from the thrill of defeating the Creaking, the Pale Garden biome offers some unique resources:
  • Collect pale wood from the trees, perfect for building and decoration.
  • Moss and other cosmetic blocks are also available here.
However, be careful! The dense forest makes it easy for mobs to sneak up on you, so make sure you light up your surroundings and stay on the move.
