What the mod does
Disc Jockey Plus is a client-side music mod for Fabric on Minecraft 26.2 and 26.3. It's an unofficial fork of the original Disc Jockey mod created by SQL_Minecraft. You can press J or type /discjockey in chat to open the interface. The mod lets you play music files, record MIDI tracks, and test note block sounds directly from your menus or during a world session.
Piano screen and MIDI tools
You get an on-screen piano keyboard that spans 88 keys from A0 to C8. Your physical keyboard keys control the notes, using standard letter keys for natural notes and the top row for sharps and flats. Number keys 1, 2, and 3 are locked to A0, A#0, and B0 for quick checks. Pressing 0 resets your octave offset straight back to C4. You can also adjust octaves with plus and minus buttons.
Sound playback checks three routes in sequence. It looks for PianoAPI first, checks the PianoLib cache second, and falls back to note block harp audio. You can record live performances with MIDI sustain pedals, reverb controls, and envelopes. The mod automatically saves these recordings as.mid files in your recordings folder. You can also export NBS files into standard MIDI tracks with tempo data and bar markers, or import raw MIDI files through the interface.
Audio visualizer and file repair
A 16-band spectrum visualizer renders audio frequencies in real time. So it offers five display modes, including bar, wave, ring, mirror, and particle styles. Look, you can keep the spectrum active on both the main menu and your in-game heads-up display.
When loading NBS song files, the playback engine supports looping, shuffling, pausing, and autoplay. Songs with notes outside the normal 0 to 24 range get repaired on the fly. The non-destructive folding tool maps high or low pitches into valid octaves without overwriting your original files on disk.
Requirements and setup
This is a client-only mod under the MIT License. The server side is unsupported. You'll need Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or higher, Fabric API 0.157.0 or higher, and Cloth Config API 26.2.155 or higher. Mod Menu and PianoLib are optional add-ons.
