Feature Recycler

What it does Feature Recycler prevents the Feature order cycle crash that appears when multiple world-generation mods add placed features in different sequences across their biomes. Minecraft expects a consistent ordering whenever the same two features appear together. When mod A puts flowers before trees in one biome and mod B puts trees before flowers in another, the game throws an IllegalStateException or a Cyanide FeatureCycleException and refuses to load the world. This mod intercepts that process, detects the conflict, and automatically re-sorts the feature lists so every biome respects the ordering established by the first biome that contained the pair. ## How the fix works At startup the mod scans every biome's placed-feature list. When it finds two features that have already appeared together in an earlier biome, it moves the later occurrence to match the original index order. The console then logs each move - which feature was shifted, from which index to which index, in which biome, and which biome originally set the rule. A final summary line reports how many crashes were prevented and how long the pass took. ## Who should use it Pack authors and players running several biome or world-gen mods together - for example Biomes We've Gone and Wythers - will see the crash disappear without having to edit datapacks or report upstream bugs. Server operators benefit because the fix is server-side only; clients don't need the mod installed. ## Compatibility and requirements The mod runs on Fabric, Quilt, NeoForge, and Forge. Supported Minecraft versions are 1.20.1 and 1.21.1. It's marked server-side required and client-side unsupported, so install it on the server or in a single-player world; don't put it on a client connecting to a vanilla server.
