Automatic slabs for modded and vanilla blocks
Leaveslab is a Fabric mod made by edeipici for Minecraft 1.20.1. It generates slab versions for nearly all full, opaque blocks in your game. You get slabs for base Minecraft materials and for blocks introduced by other mods.
It handles this process automatically in the background. You don't need to register items by hand or install separate add-ons for every block set. Once you load into a world, the mod extracts the top, side, and bottom textures from the source block. The resulting slabs match the original look of the source material.
Placement and crafting support
The generated slabs behave like normal Minecraft slabs. You can place them on the lower half of a block space, hang them from the top, or stack two into a double slab.
Leaveslab adds these slab items directly into your creative inventory. It also generates crafting recipes for them so survival players can craft them during regular play. If you add new mods with new blocks during a playthrough, the mod listens for those newly registered blocks and creates slabs for them automatically.
Filtered blocks and safety limits
Leaveslab doesn't convert every block into a slab. It includes a built-in filter to prevent bugs and logical conflicts.
Non-full blocks and blocks with special properties are skipped. The mod doesn't make slabs for stairs. It also excludes tile entities, which means objects like furnaces and chests will not get slab versions.
The mod does not change the behavior of existing vanilla blocks.
Requirements and installation
Leaveslab runs on the Fabric mod loader for Minecraft 1.20.1. Look, it requires Fabric API to handle its model loading system.
You must install the mod on both the client and the dedicated server when running multiplayer worlds.
