What the library does
Lithostitched is a Minecraft world generation library mod developed by Apollo. The project focuses on expanding configurability and improving compatibility across different worldgen systems. All its features are data-driven.
Purely data-driven mechanics. But it adds features across the game's worldgen to help separate projects work together cleanly. It's published under the MIT License, and it sits in the Libraries and APIs, Utility and Quality of Life, and World Generation categories.
Biome construction and placement
Building biomes often brings compatibility headaches. Lithostitched adds new feature types to help creators assemble custom environments.
You can work with expanded dungeon and well features. Ore features are expanded as well. If you want custom layouts, you can build your own paths using composite and template feature types.
Biome placement uses biome injectors. This system offers a simple solution for inserting modded biomes into world layouts without breaking existing setups.
Structure tools and modifiers
Lithostitched includes tools for making new structures and editing existing ones.
When creating structures, you can configure guaranteed elements and assign structure-specific music tracks. You can also set spawn conditions like flatness checks.
The mod includes a worldgen modifier system. This modifier system lets you add templates and custom spawn conditions directly to vanilla structures. Here's the thing, you don't need to replace original vanilla files to adjust how structures generate in your world.
Terrain shaping
Terrain generation receives dedicated tools. Lithostitched adds several new density function types, including Fast Noise.
It also introduces an injection system for terrain shaping. This injection setup applies terrain modifications in a compatible manner so different worldgen projects do not overwrite each other.
Platform support and requirements
Lithostitched is built for the Fabric and Neoforge mod loaders.
Installation requirements are clear. Client-side installation is unsupported. Server-side installation is required.
The library supports Minecraft versions 26.3, 26.3-pre-2, 26.2, 26.1.2, 26.1.1, and 26.1. For extra details and documentation, you can consult the official Lithostitched Wiki.
