Unsere Zusammenfassung

Was dieses Projekt macht

Visual effects without shaders

Shine changes how Minecraft looks by adding visual effects that usually require a shader pack. It works without shaders. The mod adds selective bloom, colored lighting, and rim lighting. Rim lighting creates an outline around blocks. You can also disable shading for a cartoonish look. The goal is to make the game feel more alive with lighting, atmosphere, and particles.

Performance and dependencies

The mod is designed to have little to no performance loss when enabled. It supports Sodium. However, the Modrinth page states that Sodium is currently required. The repository notes that the mod has no other dependencies. You don't need to install other mods to make Shine work, aside from the Sodium requirement noted on the project page.

Customization

You can change almost everything to your preference. The mod includes a config screen in-game. It is highly customizable and easy to use. You can adjust the visual effects to fit your style. The project encourages users to check the Wiki for a full list of what Shine adds and the Gallery for screenshots.

Compatibility and versions

Shine supports Fabric and Neoforge. But it works with Minecraft versions 26.2, 1.21.11, 1.21.1, 26.1.2, 26.1.1, and 26.1. It's a client-side mod. Real talk, server-side support isn't available. You must install it on your client. It isn't supported on the server.

Incompatibilities

Some mods don't work with Shine. The repository lists specific incompatible mods. These include nvidium, immersive portals, vulkanmod, and sodium core shader support. If you use any of these, Shine may not work correctly. Check your mod list before installing.

Licensing and usage

The mod is under an All Rights Reserved license. You can include Shine in a modpack. Most players must provide credit and link to the Modrinth or CurseForge page. The mod uses code from Shimmer and Simply No Shading. Portions of the code are under the MIT License. Full license texts are in the THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt file inside the mod JAR.
