I work on MapMC and wanted to share a downloadable world covering the Colosseum and Roman Forum area in Rome. It covers a 0.674 km² real-world selection, including surrounding streets, terrain, vegetation and building footprints.

This world was generated from map data and is a playable interpretation of the area. The monuments are not exact architectural reconstructions. The screenshot below comes from the actual Minecraft world.

World details
Java ZIP: about 8.5 MB
Tested in Minecraft Java 1.21.4 through HMCL

To try it, unzip the download, place the world folder containing level.dat in your Java saves directory, and open it in Java 1.21.4. Keep a backup before opening it in a newer version.

Download the world, view gameplay and see more screenshots

I would be interested to hear which streets or viewpoints you would explore or improve first.
