Attack Through Grass

What it does Attack Through Grass removes the collision check that stops your sword swing when tall grass, cobwebs, vines, or any other non-collidable block sits between you and a mob. The mod injects a single mixin method so the game treats those blocks as transparent to melee attacks. You still break the block if you miss the entity, but versions 2.0.2 and later add a short delay that prevents accidental block breaking when you land the hit. ## Who it's for Players who fight in overgrown biomes, swamps, or nether forests and hate losing damage ticks to tall grass. It's also useful for builders who keep cobweb or vine decorations around spawners and don't want to clear them before every fight. Because the mod runs entirely on the client, you can drop it into any single-player world or multiplayer server that allows client-side mods - no server install required. ## Compatibility and loaders The project ships builds for Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge. Supported Minecraft versions listed by the author are 26.1.2, 26.1.1, 26.1, 26.2, 26.3, and 1.21.11. The author notes that the tiny codebase tends to stay compatible with newer 1.20.5+ releases and snapshots without a formal port, but only the versions explicitly listed are verified. ## Server-side behavior Installing the mod on a server (2.1.0 or newer) disables the client-side feature for every connected player. Server owners who consider the mechanic cheating can therefore opt everyone out with a single file. ## Caveats The mod only affects blocks that have no collision shape - open trapdoors, single-layer snow, portals, and similar states work the same way. Blocks with any collision box still block attacks. Some servers classify this as an unfair advantage, so check the rules before using it on multiplayer.
