What the mod does
Hunting rare Pokemon in Cobblemon usually means keeping your eyes glued to the map or checking every creature by hand. Cobblemon Spawn Alerts automates this by posting chat messages whenever specific targets spawn near you. You can set it up to notify you about uncaught species for your Pokedex, track shiny variants, or listen for specific individual targets like Ralts.
Tracking and integrations
The mod connects directly with JourneyMap. When a target spawns, it drops a waypoint on your map, and it clears that waypoint as soon as the creature despawns.
You also get Discord webhook support. Clients can send a webhook message every time they get a personal alert. Servers can send global webhook alerts when rare or legendary Pokemon appear. Webhooks support custom embeds and can pull official artwork sprites from the PokeAPI repository.
Chat messages use Ember's Text API markup, which lets you adjust message colors and text layouts in JSON configuration files.
Server and multiplayer rules
The mod runs on Fabric and NeoForge for Minecraft 1.21.1 under the MIT License. On the client side, the mod is required.
Server installation is optional. If you play on a server without the mod, some Pokemon information will not display properly on your client. If a server administrator chooses to install the mod, all connecting clients must also install it.
Servers can broadcast global alerts to all players whenever rare or shiny targets appear. Server hosts can disable these global broadcasts in the server configuration file.
Setup notes and maintenance status
The creator, StasisTheShattered, has stopped active maintenance on this project. Real talk, there are no planned patches or future updates.
Alerts don't trigger on command-spawned Pokemon by default. An optional configuration setting called enableSpawnCommandAlerts exists in server.json, but turning it on can interfere with spawning systems in add-ons like Cobblemon: Path to Legends.
If modpack configs cause problems, you can back up your files with /csa openconfig, delete main.json, pokemon.json, message_templates.json, or server.json, and run /csa reload to generate fresh default settings.
