CraftRecall

by waterflane

Client-side mod that remembers your last crafted recipe and lets you place it again with one key, then adjust the craft count using the mouse wheel.

Our summary

What this project does

What it does CraftRecall is a lightweight client-side quality-of-life mod for vanilla crafting. But it watches what you craft and remembers the last recipe whose output you took from the result slot. When you open your inventory or a crafting table, a single key press places that recipe back into the grid. You can then change how many times you want to craft it without opening any menus. The mod works with the vanilla 2×2 player inventory grid and the 3×3 crafting table grid. It includes English and Russian translations. ## How it works After you craft something normally and take the result, CraftRecall stores that recipe. Press Space (by default) while a supported crafting screen is open and the ingredients appear in the grid. Scroll the mouse wheel up to add one craft, down to remove one craft, or press the middle mouse button to fill the grid to the maximum possible amount. The chosen amount stays saved after you take the crafted items, so the next press of the key places the same quantity immediately. The mod only remembers a recipe when you take its output; simply arranging ingredients in the grid doesn't overwrite the stored recipe. It also suppresses the vanilla ghost recipe that appears when you lack enough ingredients. ## Compatibility CraftRecall runs entirely on the client. It doesn't need to be installed on the server and communicates only through normal Minecraft inventory and recipe-placement packets. It works with vanilla servers and NeoForge servers that don't have the mod installed, subject to any anti-cheat or inventory restrictions those servers enforce. Supported mod loaders are Forge and NeoForge. Supported Minecraft versions are 1.21.1 and 1.20.1. The placement key can be rebound under Options → Controls → Key Binds → CraftRecall. ## Limitations Only the exact vanilla player inventory and crafting-table screens are supported. Modded crafting grids are not supported. The remembered recipe is cleared when you leave a world or server. The saved craft amount persists only until the Minecraft client closes; it's not written to disk. CraftRecall places ingredients but doesn't automatically take the crafting result. Recipes still obey vanilla recipe-book availability and server-side validation.
