What the mod does
Create Big Cannons is an addon for the Create mod. It allows you to build working multiblock artillery directly in your Minecraft world. You construct both standard big cannons and rapid-fire autocannons out of distinct material tiers.
Kinetic power runs the entire artillery system. You use mechanisms driven by Create kinetics to load ammunition and aim your barrels. Firing these weapons produces blast effects that knock players off their feet.
The mod supplies a wide collection of projectiles designed to damage structures and foes. Here's the thing, you can attach different fuze items to trigger these shells on impact, on a timer, or through other conditions.
Building these weapons requires a dedicated production line. You construct cannons through a crafting system that combines a multiblock casting system with Create kinetic tools.
Who it's for
The mod is built mainly for multiplayer player-versus-player servers. Big cannons give you the range and destructive power to blast enemy fortifications and blow up valuable items. Autocannons offer higher firing rates and extra capabilities when you need rapid defensive fire.
If you build flying vehicles, the mod provides compatibility with airship mods such as Valkyrien Skies to varying degrees. That allows you to mount functional cannons onto airships and take combat into the sky.
Technical details and dependencies
Create Big Cannons requires installation on both the client and the server. The mod supports Minecraft versions 1.20.1 and 1.21.1 on Forge, Fabric, and Neoforge loaders. A author doesn't support older game versions, though third-party porting is permitted under the project license.
Two dependencies are strictly required: the base Create mod and Ritchie's Projectile Library.
If you want to use bronze and steel cannon materials, you must install an additional mod that adds bronze and steel items. IngotCraft is the recommended mod for this purpose, though this requirement is planned to change in the future.
Server administrators and modpack creators can tune gun mechanics to fit their needs. The mod provides extensive configuration files along with custom datapack configuration options.
