What this project does

Overview of Explosive Enhancement

Explosive Enhancement is a client-side visual modification created by Superkat32 for the Fabric mod loader. The mod is categorized under Adventure as well as Building & Decoration on Modrinth. Established with the tagline of enhancing explosions since 2023, the project aims to improve the visual presentation of blast animations throughout the game world.

Visual Improvements and Particle Customization

The primary focus of Explosive Enhancement is updating the appearance of standard detonations. This mod introduces a variety of new particle effects to replace or augment typical blast visuals, making explosion animations look nicer and cooler. Here's the thing, players have granular control over these aesthetics and can individually enable or disable specific particles according to their preferences.

In addition to toggling individual particle types, the mod offers options to enable or disable the default explosion effect. Players who want to revert to vanilla blast visuals can also completely disable the mod through its configuration settings.

Submerged Blast Effects

Explosive Enhancement includes dedicated handling for underwater detonations. When a blast occurs beneath the surface of the water, the mod triggers a specialized underwater explosion effect. Within the configuration, users can choose to generate numerous bubbles during submerged explosions, producing a distinct visual result for aquatic blasts.

Configuration Options and Requirements

Customizing the visual effects of Explosive Enhancement is handled through external libraries. Running the mod requires Fabric API along with YetAnotherConfigLib. For players who wish to access and edit the configuration interface in-game, the Mod Menu mod is also required.

Because this project only modifies client-rendered graphics and particle systems, client side is required while server side is unsupported. The project is open-source software distributed under the MIT License.
