Industrial Foregoing: Souls

by buuz135

Industrial Foregoing: Souls lets you extract souls from Wardens to speed up machines using Soul Laser Base, Soul Surge, and Soul Pipes.

Our summary

What this project does

This mod adds a way to use souls from Wardens to make your machines run faster. You need a Soul Laser Base with a Blue Lens to extract souls from a Warden. Once you've souls stored, place a Soul Surge pointing at the machine you want to speed up and connect it with Soul Pipes to the Soul Laser Base. Applying a redstone signal to the Soul Surge stops it from working.

Each soul lasts for 15 seconds by default and makes the connected machine four times faster. Here's the thing, you can change this behavior in the config file, including how many souls are generated per operation, how long they last, and how much extra speed they give. The mod also lets you block certain machines from being accelerated by adding them to the industrialforegoingsouls:cant_accelerate block tag.

In addition to speeding up machines, the mod provides a way to get more Echo Shards, which are used heavily in its mechanics. The default config sets the soul storage tank to hold 1350 souls and the max progress for machines at 20. By default, the Warden is not killed when its life is low, and each operation does 4 damage to the Warden while generating 3 souls.

The mod requires both client and server side to run and is licensed under MIT. It only supports Neoforge as a mod loader and runs on Minecraft versions 1.21 and 1.21.1. No other versions or loaders are supported based on the official sources.
