Oritech

by rearth

Oritech is an open-source tech mod for Fabric and NeoForge featuring animated multiblock machinery, logistics pipes, long-distance transport drones, and renewable resource processing.

Our summary

What this project does

Core mechanics and machines

Oritech adds animated multiblock machines, item logistics, and energy systems to your world. You can build processing lines to refine ores, craft biofuel, or run oil processing. Upgrades connect directly to machines as addon blocks. You also get drones that carry items across long distances and mining lasers that break blocks on their own.

If you want to automate resources, you don't get locked into one path. You can make plastic by farming crops or by refining crude oil. In the late game, bedrock extractors pull renewable metals out of resource nodes. These resource nodes and oil wells generate naturally across the map. That gives you a clear reason to set up secondary outposts and haul materials back to your main base.

Power, transport, and equipment

Energy generation covers basic fuel burners and large biofuel setups. For moving items, fluids, and power, the mod includes dedicated pipes. There's only one pipe tier for each type. Pipe networks cache their connections and only send network updates when needed, keeping block entities to machine connection points.

You can also craft electric tools, powered armor, and cybernetic player augmentations. Particle accelerators and colorable machines provide extra options for your base. Real talk, for building, you get animated doors and connected decorative blocks.

Mod compatibility and requirements

The mod runs on Fabric and NeoForge for Minecraft versions 26.1.2, 26.1, 1.21.1, and 1.21. Both client and server installations are required.

Recipe viewers work out of the box with JEI, REI, and EMI. The mod works best with EMI. On Fabric, the mod shares recipes and materials with mods like Alloy Forgery, Clutter, Energized Power, Mythic Metals, and Tech Reborn. On NeoForge, processing compatibility includes Actually Additions, Applied Energistics 2, Create, Ender IO, Energized Power, Immersive Engineering, Industrial Foregoing, Mekanism, PneumaticCraft Repressurized, Powah, and Productive Metalworks.

In-game documentation is accessible through the Oracle Index mod or online through the community wiki.
