Repurposed Structures takes existing vanilla Minecraft structures and generates new biome specific variants of them, including an example the author calls a Jungle Fortress. The project began as part of the author's separate Ultra Amplified Dimension mod. TelepathicGrunt liked how the reworked structures looked in the Overworld and split them into their own standalone mod, which has since grown with help from outside contributors adding more vanilla styled structure variants.
Who It Is For
This is a server side mod, not a client add-on. The project record lists client side as unsupported and server side as required, and the mod adds no new blocks or mobs of its own, which is why it can run entirely on a server while regular vanilla clients connect without installing anything. That makes it a fit for server admins who want more structure variety across their world without asking players to download extra content. It isn't meant for someone who wants a single player, client only structure pack.
Configuration
Starting with Minecraft 1.18.2, the mod moved its structure settings into a datapack based configuration system instead of older config files. Server owners can edit that datapack to turn specific structures off or adjust how often they spawn, and the same datapack setup also carries the mod's language files and loot tables.
Compatibility
The author designed Repurposed Structures to work alongside YUNG's Better Strongholds and YUNG's Better Mineshafts, with both mods' structures continuing to spawn rather than one overriding the other. Because the mod hooks structures into biomes directly rather than touching shared systems, the author considers conflicts with other mods unlikely, though anyone who does hit one is encouraged to report it so it can get fixed. The mod is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0.
A small extra: some builds place banners in loot chests as a collectible easter egg. Honestly, finding them requires the Luck status effect or attribute, which isn't something vanilla Minecraft gives players on its own, so you would need another mod or datapack to get Luck first.
Versions and Loaders
This build of Repurposed Structures supports the Neoforge and Forge loaders. The Minecraft versions it lists support for are 26.3, 26.2, 26.1, 1.21.1, and 1.20.1. A separate Fabric and Quilt port of the mod exists as its own project and is not part of this listing.
