overview
terry's additions is a Fabric mod created by terryking87. It gives new purpose to items that often sit unused in chests, focusing on lapis lazuli and amethyst. The project was built with MCreator and is currently in alpha status.
It originally started as a private project for an SMP server. Today, you can download it to get extra equipment and new world features built around blue minerals. Both client and server installations are required.
lapis and amethyst crafting
In standard gameplay, lapis and amethyst have limited recipes. This mod changes that.
You can put lapis into a furnace to smelt a lapis ingot. That gives you a solid metal bar for new gear. You can also mix items at a crafting table. Combining one piece of lapis with one amethyst shard gives you four lapis infused lapis items.
These materials let you make several weapons and tools. Honestly, the mod includes a lapis axe and a lapis amethyst scythe. When you gather enough blue minerals, you can turn them straight into functional gear.
cosmic forest and structures
The mod changes world generation alongside crafting. But it adds an entirely new blue biome called the cosmic forest.
When exploring the cosmic forest, you will encounter blue trees. The mod includes a crafting recipe for blue wood, so you can build houses or decorative bases with the logs you cut down. Outside of the forest biome, the mod generates two distinct structures in the world. You can search for these sites during regular exploration.
technical details and compatibility
The mod runs on the Fabric mod loader for Minecraft version 26.1.2. Because it introduces custom items, blocks, recipes, and biomes, you must install it on both the client side and the server side. You can't join a modded server without it on your local client, and servers need it to generate the world.
The creator distributes the project under an All Rights Reserved license. It is currently in alpha, meaning features are still actively in progress. The author also plans to add sculk items in future updates.
