Text Tunnels

by olim88

Text Tunnels splits server chat into separate channels per server with regex rules and YACL config. Fabric only, client-side required, supports 1.21.11 and 26.x snapshots.

Our summary

What this project does

What it does Text Tunnels takes the single chat feed you see on big servers and breaks it into separate windows it calls tunnels. Each tunnel can show only the messages that match a regex you define, so party chat, guild chat, and general chat can each live in their own pane. The mod watches for messages that arrive in a tunnel and can rewrite outgoing text based on what it just saw, letting you reply in the right context without typing a prefix every time. ## Who it's for If you play on Hypixel or similar networks where party, guild, and public chat all firehose into one log, this mod lets you read and reply to each stream without losing track. It's client-side only, so you install it on your own game and join the server normally; the server doesn't need the mod. ## Configuration Settings live in a YACL config screen. You can create a profile for each server address, and the mod ships with default profiles that auto-detect popular servers. Each profile holds its own list of tunnels, each with a name, a regex that decides which incoming messages belong there, and a matching pattern that rewrites your outgoing messages when that tunnel is active. ## Compatibility The mod runs on Fabric only. It requires the client side and doesn't support a server-side component. Declared Minecraft versions are 1.21.11, 26.3, 26.2, 26.1.2, 26.1.1, and 26.1. These are discrete entries; don't assume every intermediate release works. License is GPL-3.0-or-later.
