Tiny Redstone

by Dannydk

Tiny Redstone shrinks redstone circuits into an 8x8x8 grid inside a single block, letting you build, rotate, and share compact logic with vanilla-style components.

Our summary

What this project does

What it does Tiny Redstone adds a full set of miniature redstone parts that sit inside a single block. You craft components like dust, repeaters, comparators, torches, blocks, pistons, buttons, levers, lamps, and observers, then place them on a Redstone Panel or directly in the world. Each panel holds an 8x8x8 grid - up to 512 pieces - so a complex circuit that would normally sprawl across chunks fits in one block space. Circuits can be picked up, rotated, dyed, and copied onto blueprints for sharing across worlds or with other players. ## Components and behavior The parts mirror vanilla redstone logic but with a few twists. Tiny Redstone Dust lets you toggle each of its four connection sides independently by right-clicking edges or the center. Tiny Repeaters delay signals 1 - 4 ticks; the Tiny Super Repeater extends that range up to 100 ticks (10 seconds) through a GUI. Tiny Comparators read weak signals and container outputs, and support subtract mode. Tiny Torches act as power sources and NOT gates without needing a backing block. Tiny Pistons and Sticky Pistons push up to 12 tiny blocks and stop cleanly against non-pushable blocks, so circuits don't pop off panels. Solid and glass mini-blocks carry or block signals just like their full-size counterparts and can be textured via the Block Chopper to match nearly any block in the game. Buttons, levers, and lamps round out the toolkit - lamps emit dim, scalable light up to level 15 when fully powered. Observers detect block changes, placement, removal, and redstone updates on the panel, though they don't yet catch color or repeater-delay changes. ## Panels and blueprints Redstone Panels insulate circuits from the block they sit on, preventing unwanted power bleed. They can be placed on floors, walls, or ceilings and rotated with a Redstone Wrench. Shift-right-clicking a panel with the wrench picks up the entire circuit intact. Blueprints let you save a circuit, copy it to another panel, export it to a file, and import it in a different world or share it externally. ## Add-on ecosystem The mod stays vanilla-focused but supports several companion mods: Tiny Gates adds compact logic gates, Tiny Pipes adds modular item, fluid, energy, and redstone pipes that share block space, Ranged Wireless Redstone adds tiny and full-size transmitters and receivers, and TinyCreate adds tiny Create-compatible components like redstone links, analog levers, and 7-segment displays. ## Compatibility and requirements Tiny Redstone runs on NeoForge only. The project lists explicit support for Minecraft versions 26.2, 1.21.1, 26.1.2, 26.1.1, and 26.1. Both client and server must have the mod installed. The author states only the most recent Minecraft version receives new features; major bugs may be fixed on older versions but no backports are planned. License is GPL v3 or later.
