TMCraft

What TMCraft does for Cobblemon players TMCraft is a Fabric side mod for Cobblemon that adds Technical Machines with crafting recipes. But it follows the Generation IX rule set: TMs are consumed on use and they cannot teach egg moves or tutor moves. The mod was built as an alternative to SimpleTMs, sharing much of the same codebase but removing wild Pokémon TM drops and swapping in textures based on Cobblemon assets. If you want to craft every TM in the game instead of hunting for drops, this is the mod that does it. ## Crafting system and materials Recipes are organized around six blank disc tiers. Copper covers moves with base power 0 - 30, iron 30 - 60, gold 60 - 90, diamond 90 - 120, and netherite handles 120 and above. Status moves use an emerald blank disc. A Move Upgrade Smithing Template upgrades discs between tiers; since version 1.3.0 it replaces the netherite upgrade template entirely. EMI or a similar recipe viewer is strongly recommended because the recipe list is large. ## Move item types Four move item categories exist. TM Move Items teach standard TM moves. Egg Move Items teach breeding moves. Tutor Move Items teach move tutor moves. Star Move Items teach any move regardless of learnset - the author calls them cheating and advises caution. A Move Recorder converts into the matching move item when used. ## Villager trading Move Tutor villagers sell Tutor Move Items starting with version 1.4.4. Pokémon Breeder villagers sell Egg Move Items starting with version 1.4.6. Both trades give survival access to moves that would otherwise require creative mode or commands. ## Configuration A single game rule, consumeMoveItemOnUse, controls whether move items are consumed. It defaults to true and applies globally to all four move item types. ## Compatibility and requirements The mod requires Fabric and runs on Minecraft 1.20.1 and 1.21.1. Both client and server must have it installed. It is licensed GPL 3.0 for code and CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 for assets. French translation is included.
