What the mod does
Trinkets is a data-driven accessory mod and programming API created by Emi. It adds custom item slots to your Minecraft inventory. When you play with mods that add wearable accessories, Trinkets provides the framework to hold those items.
The interface is built to be accessible and easy to use. So it keeps your inventory clean by avoiding unnecessary clutter. No wasted space. You won't see empty slots sitting around with no purpose. Slots only show up when an installed mod specifically requests them. If no mod asks for a slot, the system keeps it hidden.
How slot groups work
The mod structures inventory expansion around slot groups. A slot group is a collection of slots assigned to a specific body part or general area.
The mod starts with 6 default slot groups:
- Head
- Chest
- Legs
- Feet
- Offhand
- Hand
Mods can add individual slots into any of these 6 default groups. If a mod requires a completely new location, it can add new slot groups as well. It's data-driven, so mod authors define exactly where their items fit.
Information for developers
Trinkets is licensed under the MIT License and belongs to the Equipment and Libraries & APIs categories.
To include Trinkets in a project, developers configure their build.gradle file. You add the Sleeping Town repository and the Ladysnake Libs Maven repository. Then you add the mod dependency using modImplementation.
The mod repository wiki provides basic tutorials along with full documentation. Honestly, this helps creators integrate accessories without having to write custom inventory logic from scratch.
