Our summary

What this project does

What it does Where Did I Die is a small client-side mod that prints your death coordinates to chat the moment you die. A screenshot is captured at the same time so the numbers persist across game restarts. The whole thing runs on your client. The server does not need the mod installed. It works on Fabric, Forge, Neoforge, and Quilt for the Minecraft versions listed in the project data. You'll see the coordinates in your own chat window by default. No one else sees that message unless you turn on the broadcast option. The mod also plays nicely with grave mods and other death-related addons. You can drop it into a modpack as long as the download stays on CurseForge or Modrinth. That's the only restriction the author sets. ## Who it helps If you play on a server and die far from home this mod saves you the guesswork. You get the exact numbers right away. If you play solo the screenshot acts as a backup in case chat scrolls away. It's a quality-of-life tool for anyone who loses items often and wants a faster way back. ## Main features The mod has three toggles in its config file. showCoordinatesInChat is on by default. It puts the coordinates in your client chat only. broadcastCoordinatesToServer is off by default. When you enable it the mod sends the coordinates to the server chat as if you typed them yourself. Other players can then see the location and help you recover your gear. screenshotDeathCoordinates is on by default. It takes a screenshot the moment the death message appears so you've a visual record that survives a client restart. All three settings can be flipped without restarting the game if you use a config screen mod. ## Compatibility notes The mod is fully client-side. Server side is marked unsupported in the project data. That means you can join any server with it installed. The supported loaders are Fabric, Forge, Neoforge, and Quilt. The supported Minecraft versions are 26.3, 26.2, 26.1.2, 26.1.1, 26.1, 1.21.11, 1.21.10, and 1.21.9. Don't assume it works on versions not listed. The author states compatibility with grave mods and similar utilities. No dependencies are required beyond the mod loader itself. License is All Rights Reserved so you cannot redistribute the file outside the approved platforms.
