What Camera Utils does for you Camera Utils is a client-side Fabric mod that gives you finer control over the in-game camera. It adds six distinct features: dynamic zoom, camera detaching, adjustable third-person distance, two customizable third-person perspectives, advanced cinematic camera controls, and movement smoothing. All of these work without a server-side component, so you can use the mod on any server that allows client mods. ## Dynamic zoom and detaching The zoom key defaults to Z. Hold it and scroll to adjust the zoom level on the fly. Camera detaching locks the camera to its current position while you keep controlling the player from that fixed viewpoint. Press Right Alt together with the detach key to snap the camera back to the last detached position. ## Third-person flexibility While in third person, hold the distance modifier and scroll to pull the camera out up to 100 blocks away. Two extra perspectives are bound to F6 and F7 by default. Press Right Alt with F6 or F7 to tweak each perspective's settings. ## Cinematic tools and smoothing Right Alt plus the cinematic camera button opens controls for the cinematic camera's properties. Movement smoothing evens out camera motion for cleaner footage. Any Camera Utils key combined with Right Alt opens a settings GUI where you can adjust values or reset them to defaults. ## Compatibility and requirements The mod runs on Fabric and Quilt loaders. Supported Minecraft versions include 26.3, 26.2, 26.1.2, 26.1.1, 26.1, 1.21.11, 1.21.10, and 1.21.8. It's client-side only; the server side is unsupported.
