Overview of Functionality
Whenever a player generates a new world or opens an existing save featuring custom world settings or custom dimensions, the vanilla Minecraft interface presents an Experimental Features warning screen. Disable Custom Worlds Advice completely disables this advice screen, streamlining the world loading process and allowing direct access into the game environment without repetitive confirmation dialogs.
Categorized under Utility & Quality of Life as well as World Generation, the project focuses entirely on eliminating this specific popup obstacle during world entry.
Target Audience and Applications
The mod accommodates two primary use cases within the modded ecosystem:
- Everyday Players and Testers: Users who frequently play or experiment with custom dimensions and customized world configurations can bypass the recurring warning interface each time a world is loaded or generated.
- Mod Developers: Creators building mods that introduce custom world generation can bundle Disable Custom Worlds Advice as a Jar-in-jar component to automatically suppress the advice screen for users playing their modded content.
Installation and Technical Specifications
Disable Custom Worlds Advice is strictly a client-side modification:
- Client side: required
- Server side: unsupported
The modification runs on both the Fabric and Quilt mod loaders. Although designed as a Fabric mod, it operates independently and doesn't require Fabric API to function. Real talk, the project is distributed under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only.
