Overview
Music Maker is a Java mod created by xerca that brings musical composition and playback into Minecraft. It adds music sheets, playable instruments, and dedicated sound devices to the game.

Client and server requirements
This mod has strict side requirements. Both the client side and the server side must have the mod installed.
You cannot run it purely as a client mod on a vanilla server. Anyone also can't host it on a server without requiring connected players to install it. If you run a multiplayer server, make sure every visitor installs the mod before joining your world.
Mod loader compatibility
The author provides files for three mod loaders. You can run Music Maker on Fabric, Forge, or Neoforge.
Supported Minecraft versions are 1.20.1, 1.21.1, 26.1.2, 26.2, 1.21.11, and 1.21.10. Check your game launcher carefully to make sure your setup matches one of these exact versions.
Licensing and codebase
The project is distributed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. Its code lives in the xercamods repository. That repository houses Music Maker alongside two other projects from xerca, which are XercaMod and Joy of Painting.
