Automatic vertical slabs
Vertical Slabs Compat generates vertical slab variants for blocks that include a standard horizontal slab. If you run a setup with custom building materials from other mods, this project fills in the missing vertical pieces automatically.
The mod detects slab definitions in your game. But it creates the matching vertical versions for those blocks. What you get also checks for items that already exist in your instance. If a block already has a vertical slab registered by another mod, Vertical Slabs Compat skips it so you don't get duplicate items.
How it works with quark
The concept matches the vertical slabs from the Quark mod. Even so, you do not need Quark installed in your game. Vertical Slabs Compat runs as a standalone mod on its own.
This setup gives you choices when building your mod list. Here's the thing, if you run Quark and want its vertical slab style applied across all your modded materials, this mod handles that integration. If you do not use Quark at all, you can still install this mod by itself to get vertical slabs.
Clear limits on features
This mod stays focused on one specific job. It adds vertical slabs and nothing else.
You won't find vertical stairs, cut corners, or microblock carving systems in this mod. The author designed the code strictly for slabs. Don't expect mini blocks or custom wall shapes. If you want vertical stairs or complex microblock placement, you'll need to add a separate microblock mod to your setup.
