What It Does
This mod changes how Create: Big Cannons interacts with Sable physics objects. Before this update, firing a cannon attached to a vehicle would not push the vehicle back. Similarly, hitting a physics object with a shell would only deal damage and bounce off without applying force. And this mod fixes both issues. It applies recoil forces when cannons fire and impact forces when projectiles hit. The result is that vehicles rock when firing, and enemy shells can knock boats off course. It follows the principle that for every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction.
Key Features
Cannons and Autocannons from Create: Big Cannons now generate recoil forces when fired from a physics object. Cannon shells and Autocannon rounds generate impact forces when they hit a physics object. This makes combat feel more physical and responsive. You can feel the weight of the weapon when you fire it. The mod is compatible with Create Big Cannons: Going Ballistic.
Compatibility and Status
This mod is obsolete as of Create Big Cannons 5.11.3. The upstream mod has likely integrated these features or changed the physics handling in a way that makes this add-on unnecessary or incompatible. You should check the latest version of Create Big Cannons before installing this. It supports Minecraft 1.21.1 only. That requires NeoForge. Honestly, it's a client and server side mod, meaning both players and the server must have it installed for it to work correctly. The project is licensed under the MIT License.
Who It's For
This mod is for players who use Create: Big Cannons and Create: Aeronautics together. If you build vehicles with cannons and want realistic physics, this mod provides that. It's not for players using older versions of Minecraft or different mod loaders like Fabric or Forge. It's specifically for the 1.21.1 NeoForge ecosystem. If you're already using Create Big Cannons 5.11.3 or later, you don't need this mod.
