What This Mod Adds
Macaw's Windows adds lots of window blocks and matching decorative pieces to Minecraft. You get windows that open, close, or lock, alongside mosaic glass, mosaic glass panes, one way glass, shutters, blinds, curtains, parapets and sills, gothic style windows, and arrow slits. If your builds have always needed decent windows and you've been stuck stacking iron bars and glass panes, this fills that gap.
Who It's For
This is a builder's mod, plain and simple. It sits in the Building & Decoration category on Modrinth, and that's where it belongs. If you spend your time on houses, castles, or interior design and want more than a plain glass block for a window, this gives you pieces built for that job. It isn't aimed at combat, exploration, or tech focused players.
Compatibility
The mod supports Fabric, NeoForge, and Forge, so most modded setups have a build that fits. On the Minecraft side it lists support for 26.2, 26.1.2, 26.1.1, 26.1, and 1.21.11. Those are the specific versions listed, not a full range, so don't assume an in-between version is covered.
Both the client and the server need the mod installed. This isn't a client-only visual mod, so if you're setting it up for multiplayer, everyone connecting needs it too.
Using It In Modpacks
You can include Macaw's Windows in your own modpack. The condition is that you credit the author and link back to the Modrinth page. Look, a mod ships under an All Rights Reserved license, so that credit and link requirement is the actual permission you're working under, not just a suggestion.
Part of a Larger Series
Macaw's Windows is one entry in the wider Macaw's Mods collection. The same author also makes Bridges, Roofs, Furniture, Doors, Trapdoors, Paintings, Light & Lamps, Fences & Walls, Paths & Pavings, and Holidays. If windows aren't enough and you want matching doors or roofing in the same style, those exist as separate mods.
Contributing Translations
If you want to help translate the mod into another language, you can send translations through the project's GitHub repository or through the Macaw's Mods Discord server. Both channels are set up to take that kind of contribution.
