Boss battles and world encounters
AdventureZ introduces several new hostile mobs and summoned bosses to Minecraft worlds. Players can start a ritual to summon the Blackstone Golem, a boss that drops blackstone, netherite, gilded shards, and a Blackstone Heart. Fighting piglins or mining nether gold ore can provoke a Piglin Beast.
Other hostile encounters appear across specific environments. Necromancers and Blaze Guardians patrol nether fortresses, dropping enchanted books upon defeat. Soul sand valleys contain the Soul Reaper, an enemy mounted on a tameable creature named Nightmare. You will also run into the Summoner and its vanguard during thunderstorms.
Dragons and special equipment
Defeating the Eye allows you to reclaim a dragon egg. The egg hatches over about ten minutes. Once hatched, you can tame the dragon using raw meat or orc skin. Here's the thing, the dragon grows in stages, becoming rideable with a dragon saddle and later gaining the ability to carry a chest.
Defeating specific mobs unlocks specialized utility gear. The Piglin Beast drops a Piglin Flag. When charged, the flag calms nearby aggressive piglins as you approach. Players can also craft Gilded Netherite Armor, a stronger defensive tier than regular netherite armor that grants a full set effect and prevents piglins from attacking.
Requirements and setup
AdventureZ runs on the Fabric mod loader. Supported Minecraft releases include 1.20.1, 1.21, and 1.21.1. Running this mod requires both client and server installations. It also requires separate installations of Fabric API and Cloth Config API. Installing the Patchouli mod provides an in-game handbook, accessible through the creative inventory. The developer permits inclusion in any modpack.
