Builtin Servers

제작 D4rkness_King

Builtin Servers lets modpack authors ship default multiplayer servers through a config file instead of a server.dat file, with forced entries that players cannot remove.

저희 소개글

이 프로젝트가 하는 일

What it does for modpack makers Builtin Servers replaces the old practice of bundling a preconfigured server.dat file with a modpack. Instead, you run the mod once, edit the generated config at.minecraft/config/builtinservers.json, and ship that file with your pack. When players launch the pack for the first time, the servers you defined appear in their multiplayer list automatically. Existing instances keep any custom servers they have already added, so updates don't wipe personal entries. ## Forced servers and visual badges The config supports forced entries. These servers can't be deleted or edited by the player and will reappear if the config file still lists them. Both regular and forced servers show a custom badge in the server list so players can tell which entries came from the modpack. The badge can be disabled in the config if you prefer a cleaner look. ## Who this is for The mod is aimed at modpack authors who want a reliable way to surface community servers, official pack servers, or any multiplayer destinations without asking players to copy addresses manually. So it doesn't add gameplay features, commands, or server-side logic. But it is a client-side utility only. ## Compatibility and requirements Builtin Servers runs on Fabric and Forge. Supported Minecraft versions are 1.20.1, 1.19.2, 1.19, 1.18.2, 1.18-rc4, and 1.17-rc2. The mod is marked as required on the client and unsupported on the server, so it shouldn't be installed on a dedicated server. The license is Mozilla Public License 2.0.
