What this mod does
Finding rare creatures across huge world spaces takes time. Cataclysmic Crab Spawn solves one exact search problem. The mod adds a single craftable item named the Suspicious Looking Crab. You use this item to summon the Amethyst Crab from L_Ender's Cataclysm directly into your world.
If you've spent hours looking for that specific mob without any luck, this gives you a direct path. You craft the item, activate it, and face the creature without roaming across distant biomes. That's the whole point of the project. It does one job and keeps the scope tight.
How the item works
The Suspicious Looking Crab is the only feature added by this project. Honestly, it's tagged under adventure and mob categories, along with equipment. You craft the item, then use it whenever you want to trigger the Amethyst Crab spawn.
This simple loop keeps you from getting stuck behind random mob generation. When you need to fight the Amethyst Crab or collect its drops, you create the item and start the encounter on your own terms.
Requirements and compatibility
You must install L_Ender's Cataclysm to run this project. Cataclysmic Crab Spawn is an add-on built around that mod, so it can't work on a clean game installation alone.
The project runs on Minecraft version 1.20.1 using the Forge mod loader. It isn't built for other loaders or other game updates. Both the client side and the server side are required. That means you need it in your personal game folder for singleplayer, and both the server and connecting players need it installed for multiplayer servers.

ImMaxon developed Cataclysmic Crab Spawn and released it under the MIT License. The license gives you clear rights to inspect, alter, and share the code under standard MIT terms. If you build modpacks for 1.20.1 on Forge that already include L_Ender's Cataclysm, you can drop this in to give players a direct way to summon the crab.
