What Configured does for you Configured is a Fabric server-side mod that expands the knobs you can turn on a Minecraft server. It adds a set of config options you can change at runtime with the /config configured command. Nothing requires a restart. The config file lives at ./config/configured/config.json relative to your server directory. ## Dimension and portal control You can disable the End entirely, stop eyes of ender from being thrown, block end portal frame filling, and shut down end gateways so nothing teleports through them. The Nether portal toggle works the same way - flip it and players can no longer travel there. These are handy when you want a pure overworld survival world or need to lock dimensions during an event. ## PvP and combat tuning The mod adds a combat cooldown system measured in ticks. You set the duration, choose whether it applies to the attacker, the victim, or both, and decide if the remaining time shows in the action bar. There are also toggles to prevent elytra flight and firework boosting while the cooldown is active. A separate disablePVP switch acts as an online alternative to the pvp setting in server.properties. Damage multipliers let you scale specific sources - end crystals, respawn anchor explosions, and TNT minecarts - independently. ## Connection and access management playerConnections has three modes: ALLOW_ALL (vanilla), ALLOW_OPS (ops only), and ALLOW_ONLY_NON_BLOCKED (uses a block list). The join message for blocked players is customizable. This gives you a maintenance mode without touching permission plugins. You can also set a fake max-player count that shows in the server list and /list without changing the real cap. ## World and server settings on the fly View distance, simulation distance, spawn protection, max players, and MOTD can all be updated live. Item despawn age is configurable in ticks (vanilla default is 6000). Command blocks can be forced on regardless of server.properties. Monster spawning can be suppressed globally, though peaceful difficulty and the vanilla property still take precedence. ## Cosmetic hardcore hearts fakeHardcore makes every player's hearts render as hardcore hearts. It doesn't change gameplay - no permadeath, no spectator mode on death. Purely visual. ## Who this suits Small to medium survival servers that want fine-grained rule tweaks without a heavy plugin stack. If you run Fabric and need to lock dimensions, adjust PvP feel, or control who can join during maintenance, Configured covers those gaps with a single lightweight mod. ## Compatibility notes Fabric only. Client side unsupported; server side required. Supported Minecraft versions per the project record: 26.2, 26.1.2, 1.21.11, 1.21.10, 1.21.8. No other loaders or versions are claimed. All defaults match vanilla behavior unless you change them.
