Falling Leaves adds falling particle effects to tree foliage in Minecraft. It's a client-side mod built for the Fabric loader. You do not need to install anything on a server when you join multiplayer worlds. The mod requires the Cloth Config library to run.
You can customize how leaves fall in your game. Open the settings menu to pick which leaf blocks produce particles and set how often they appear. By default, conifer trees like spruce and pine do not drop leaves. Large leaved trees like jungle trees and palms don't drop leaves either, and neither do shrubs. Look, you can change the conifer spawn rate or set individual rates for specific tree types.
Custom textures and extra blocks
Resource packs let you replace particle textures. You can change the default leaf images or assign distinct textures to specific block types.
You can also make extra blocks drop particles. If you build custom trees out of non-leaf blocks, open the experimental settings tab. Add the block IDs under the additional block states setting, and the mod will drop particles from those blocks as well.

Falling Leaves is compatible with modded trees and resource packs that modify leaves. The mod is licensed under the MIT License and is listed under the Building & Decoration category. Supported Minecraft versions include 26.3, 26.1.2, 26.1.1, 26.1, 26.2, 1.21.11, 1.21.10, 1.21.9, 1.21.8, 1.21.7, 1.21.6, and 1.21.5.
Cheaterpaul created an unofficial Forge port. Keep in mind that the Forge port handles configuration differently and might not always be up to date. The mod focuses on recent Minecraft releases rather than older versions. You're free to include the mod in any modpack, provided you place a link to the CurseForge page in your modpack documentation.
