Overview
Heart Crystals introduces a new consumable that permanently raises a player's health bar. When you eat a Heart Crystal your maximum hearts increase, letting you survive tougher fights.
Crafting and Use
The crystal is made from Heart Crystal Shards. Here's the thing, gather shards, combine them in a crafting grid, and you get a single crystal ready to consume. Each crystal adds a fixed amount of health, so you can stack the effect by eating multiple crystals.
Where Shards Appear
Shards are added to the loot tables of many vanilla structures. You can find them in abandoned mineshafts, simple dungeons, buried treasure chests, end city treasure rooms, desert pyramids, jungle temples, woodland mansions, and the various bastion pieces (bridge, treasure and other). Exploring these locations gives you a reliable source of shards without needing a separate farm.
Compatibility
The mod runs on both the client and the server, so every player on a world must have it installed. It's released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. Heart Crystals supports the Fabric, Neoforge and Forge loaders. It's built for Minecraft version 1.20.1, version 1.21.1 and the snapshot version 26.2. The mod is listed under the Adventure, Game Mechanics and Magic categories.
Who Might Like It
If you enjoy survival challenges and want a straightforward way to boost durability, this mod fits well. It doesn't change gameplay beyond the health increase, so it works with most other mods that respect the standard health system.
Limitations
The health boost is permanent; there's no way to remove it once applied. This mod doesn't add any new armor or regeneration effects. It also requires the matching loader and Minecraft version; using a different version will prevent it from loading.
