What Lunar does to your nights Lunar replaces the static moon cycle with a rotating set of events. Each night one of nine events can trigger, and each one rewrites a core rule of the game for that evening. The Bad Omen Moon blankets every player in the Bad Omen effect, so wandering near a village starts a raid. The Hero Moon flips that script and grants Hero of the Village to everyone. The Miner Moon hands out Haste, letting you strip-mine at speed. The White Moon suppresses all natural monster spawns, giving you a safe night to explore. The Blood Moon makes hostile mobs hit significantly harder. The Crimson Moon swaps overworld spawn tables for Nether mobs. The Big Moon cranks gravity up so every entity falls faster. The Tiny Moon weakens gravity, letting you float like you've slow falling. The Eclipse Moon punishes sky access with the Darkness effect, turning open terrain into a hazard. ## Who this is for If you run a server or play with friends and want nights to feel unpredictable without adding new dimensions or complex progression systems, Lunar fits. It works best when everyone experiences the same event at the same time, so the mod requires both client and server installation. Solo players get the same variety, but the multiplayer sync is where the design shines. ## Compatibility and requirements Lunar runs on Neoforge and Fabric. Supported Minecraft versions are 1.21.11 and 26.1. The mod is licensed under MIT. No extra dependencies are listed in the primary sources. Because both sides are required, you can't join a Lunar server with a vanilla client, and a Lunar client can't connect to a vanilla server.
