Vanilla Minecraft caps your chat scrollback at 100 lines. On busy servers, text disappears fast. Coordinates, trade offers, and player conversations scroll away before you can read them.
More Chat History changes that limit. It raises the stored message count to 16384. You can scroll up through thousands of past lines without losing earlier messages during a play session.
how it works in multiplayer
This is a client mod. You install it on your own game client. It does not run on dedicated servers, and the server side is listed as unsupported in the project metadata.
That setup makes it simple to use on multiplayer networks. Here's the thing, you keep your full scrollback locally even if the server does not run any mods.
