Overview
NoPackCompatCheck is a lightweight client-only mod that suppresses the "incompatible" warnings shown on Minecraft's resource-pack selection screen. By hiding these alerts, the pack list stays clean and players can focus on the packs they actually want to use.
Why It Exists
Since Minecraft 1.20, Mojang has been increasing the resource-pack format version far more frequently. Packs that are still compatible often lack an updated pack.mcmeta entry, causing a flood of false-positive warnings. And this mod simply removes those warnings without altering any game mechanics.
Key Features
- Disables compatibility warnings on the resource-pack screen.
- Client-side only - no server component is required.
- Distributed under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only.
- Works with the three major loaders: NeoForge, Fabric, and Forge.
Supported Loaders and Versions
- Loaders: NeoForge, Fabric, Forge (as listed on Modrinth).
- Minecraft versions: 1.19, 1.19.1, 1.19.2, 1.19.3, 1.19.4, 1.20, 1.20.1, 1.20.2, 1.20.3, 1.20.4, 1.20.5, 1.20.6, 1.21, 1.21.1, 1.21.2, 1.21.3, 1.21.4, 1.21.5, 1.21.6, 1.21.7, 1.21.8, 1.21.9, 1.21.10, 1.21.11, 26.1, 26.1.2, 26.2.
Installation
Download the appropriate JAR for your loader from the Modrinth page or the linked GitHub repository, place it in the mods folder, and launch the game. Look, the mod activates automatically; no configuration is needed.
Limitations
The mod only hides the warning. If a resource pack truly can't be read by the game, errors may still occur after loading. Multiplayer worlds require each client to have the mod installed because the server side is unsupported.
Who Benefits
Players who use community packs that haven't been updated to the latest pack.mcmeta version will see a cleaner pack list. It is especially useful for those who switch between Minecraft versions frequently or keep a large library of older packs.
License
NoPackCompatCheck is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only.
Availability
The mod is hosted on Modrinth and mirrored on GitHub, where both sites list the same loader and version support.
