EasyLAN

van XiaoXianHW

EasyLAN adds a custom GUI to configure the integrated LAN server with port, player limit, MOTD, PVP, online mode, and admin commands.

Onze samenvatting

Wat dit project doet

What EasyLAN does EasyLAN replaces the vanilla Open to LAN screen with a custom GUI that lets you configure the integrated server before you open it. You can pick a specific port between 100 and 65535, set a maximum player count from 2 up to 500,000, and write a custom MOTD of up to 100 words. The mod also exposes basic server toggles: allow PVP, enable online-mode authentication, control animal and NPC spawning, and permit flight. On top of that, it adds a handful of server commands you can run in chat - whitelist management, ban and pardon for players or IPs, operator grant and revoke, and save-all, save-off, save-on. ## Who it's for This mod is aimed at players who regularly host LAN worlds for friends or family and want more control than the vanilla screen provides. It's also useful for small community hosts who run a persistent world from a client machine and need quick access to admin commands without setting up a dedicated server. Because the mod is client-side only, everyone connecting joins a standard LAN session; they don't need the mod installed. ## Verified capabilities - Custom port range 100 - 65535 - Max players 2 - 500,000 - Custom MOTD up to 100 words - Toggles for PVP, online mode, animal spawning, NPC spawning, flight - In-chat commands: /whitelist, /ban, /ban-ip, /pardon, /pardon-ip, /op, /deop, /save-all, /save-off, /save-on - Optional HTTP API on localhost port 28960 (marked as an extension) - LAN server info printed to game chat - Configuration file at.minecraft/config/easylan.cfg (similar to server.properties) ## Compatibility and caveats EasyLAN requires the mod on the client that opens the LAN world. The server side is unsupported, meaning you cannot install it on a dedicated server. Supported loaders are Forge and NeoForge. The Modrinth project lists these discrete Minecraft versions: 1.21.5, 1.21.11, 1.21.1, 1.20.6, 1.20.1, 1.9.4, 1.8.9, 1.8. The GitHub README also mentions Fabric builds for 1.14.4 through 1.21.11 and Forge builds for 1.7.2 through 1.21.11, but notes that 1.7.2 is untested. Extensions such as the HTTP API haven't been tested for compatibility; the author recommends disabling them if you experience crashes. When updating from an older version, delete the easylan.cfg file to avoid potential crashes.
