Onze samenvatting

Wat dit project doet

Overview

Let’s Do Hearth & Timber expands the building toolbox with wooden structural pieces and decorative details. It works on both Fabric and NeoForge and requires the mod on client and server. The mod targets Minecraft 1.21.1, so you’ll need that version to use it.

Structural Elements

The mod introduces a range of supports that let you reinforce walls and add visual code compliance. You can place beams, columns and other supports, then switch their stage with an axe or pickaxe. Railings are also available for balconies and edges, giving you a clean, finished look without needing separate mods.

Framing and Trimming

Frames give a medieval-style outline to buildings, and they also allow new shapes like vertical slabs. Trims let you add a modular finish to windows and doors. By attaching a flowerpot to a trim, you can create a windowsill. A lightweight framework block works like scaffolding but is easier to craft, offering vertical building advantages.

Decorative Additions

Hearth & Timber adds several decorative blocks:

  • New wooden windows and panes.
  • Sliding doors in three sizes that can be customized by right-clicking with any vanilla plank or an iron ingot.
  • Thatch blocks with four controllable growth stages.
  • Plaster in all 16 Minecraft colors.
  • A variety of wooden, terracotta and patchwork shingles.
  • A small selection of new stone-type blocks. These pieces let you fine-tune the exterior look of houses, barns, or any structure you create.

Who It’s For

If you enjoy building detailed houses or want to give your creations a handcrafted feel, this mod fits your workflow. Here's the thing, it pairs well with the Let’s Do Furniture mod, which focuses on interior décor, while Hearth & Timber handles the exterior and structural aesthetics.

Compatibility Notes

The mod is listed as required on both client and server, so every player on a server must have it installed. It only lists Minecraft 1.21.1 as a supported version, and it doesn't claim compatibility with earlier releases. The supported loaders are Fabric and NeoForge; don't attempt to run it on Forge or other platforms.

Getting Started

After adding the mod to your mods folder, you’ll find the new blocks in the building and decoration tab. Use the standard placement controls, and switch support stages with an axe or pickaxe as described. No additional configuration is required.
