MaidUseHandCrank

What this mod does MaidUseHandCrank is an addon that bridges Touhou Little Maid and Create. It adds a new Hand Crank task to the maid GUI so maids can walk up to a Create hand crank and turn it. The maid's output is measured in stress units (SU) and grows as her favorability with you increases. At half favorability she unlocks Endurance Operation, doubling the crank duration per interaction and letting her run two cranks at once. At maximum favorability she unlocks Ambidextrous Operation, doubling that again to four cranks simultaneously. When a maid has spare interaction speed she will automatically seek out additional nearby cranks to keep working. You can also pin a maid to a station by making her sit after she starts the task; she will stop wandering and occasionally show chat bubbles with worker quotes. Placing an item frame on the crank block reverses the rotation direction. ## Configuration All settings are exposed in-game through the Touhou Little Maid config screen and split into three categories. General covers task priority (default 5, requires a task reset to apply). Behavior controls search radii for cranks around the work center and around the maid (both default to auto), maximum reach distance (default 4 blocks), a smart targeting toggle to prevent multiple maids fighting over the same crank, a random walk toggle that lets maids wander when idle, and the item frame reversal toggle. Work settings tune the chat bubble interval (default 600 ticks), interaction interval (default 8 ticks), crank duration per interaction (default 10 ticks), base stress output (default 256 SU), stress gain per favorability level (default 10 SU), and the toggles for Endurance Operation and Ambidextrous Operation. ## Compatibility and requirements The mod runs on NeoForge and Forge. Supported Minecraft versions are 1.21.1 and 1.20.1. Both client and server must have the mod installed. It requires Touhou Little Maid and Create to be present; without them the Hand Crank task won't appear and the integration does nothing. The license is MIT for code and CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 for assets. ## Known limitation Maids that are sitting at a fixed workstation don't persist across world unload. They won't resume work automatically after a reload. A workaround is to set the maid's home position and disable random walking in the behavior config.
