Wireless Redstone

van Razzokk

Wireless Redstone adds transmitter and receiver blocks that send redstone signals without wires, supporting frequency-based and direct point-to-point links across dimensions.

Onze samenvatting

Wat dit project doet

Wireless Redstone adds blocks and items that let you send redstone signals without physical wiring. The core components are transmitters and receivers that communicate over a shared frequency. When a transmitter is powered, all receivers on the same frequency output a full redstone signal strength of 15. You set the frequency by right-clicking the block. This works across dimensions, meaning you can link devices in the Overworld, Nether, or End as long as they share the same frequency number. The mod requires both client and server installation to function properly in multiplayer. It supports the major mod loaders: Forge, Fabric, and Neoforge. Minecraft versions supported are 1.20.4 and 1.20.1. Beyond basic frequency pairing, the mod includes point-to-point (P2P) transmitters and receivers. These link directly using a Linker item, avoiding frequency conflicts entirely. Each P2P pair can only connect one transmitter to one receiver. The link state can be read with a comparator, which outputs 15 when linked and 0 when not. If either block is unloaded, the visual link breaks but the connection persists and restores when both are reloaded. If one block is destroyed or relinked while the other is unloaded, the link terminates permanently upon reload. This behavior can be used to detect chunk loading states. Attachments variants of both transmitter and receiver types exist. These have a smaller height and can be affixed to the side of a block. Attached transmitters only accept input from the face they're attached to, while attached receivers only output signal to that face. So this allows for cleaner integration into walls or machines. The Remote item functions as a portable transmitter. Holding right-click activates it. You can copy a frequency from any transmitter or receiver by sneaking and right-clicking it. Sneaking and right-clicking in open space opens a GUI to set the frequency manually. The Frequency Tool lets you copy a frequency from one device and apply it to many others. Right-click to copy, then right-click another device to paste. Sneaking and right-clicking in open space opens the GUI for manual frequency setting. The Frequency Sniffer highlights all active transmitters on a set frequency within range. Right-clicking it shows wireframes around matching blocks and prints their coordinates in chat. Operators can click the coordinates to teleport directly to a transmitter's location. All tools support both manual GUI input and frequency copying from existing devices.
