Beyond storage addon is a storage and utility addon developed by wwwqqq001 for Beyond Dimensions. It connects standard container screens, including chests, furnaces, and backpack interfaces, directly to dimensional storage networks. Players can deposit items with a single action using configurable hotkeys, on-screen interface buttons, or commands. Both client-side and server-side installations are required to run the mod.
Deposit Modes and Item Matching
The addon offers two distinct transfer behaviors to handle container contents:
- Smart Deposit: Assigned by default to the F key, this mode only transfers items if the target dimensional network already contains that item type. If an item can't enter the network, the mod attempts to return it to the player inventory or leaves it securely in the container without dropping or duplicating items.
- Full Deposit: Assigned by default to Ctrl+F and accessible via an on-screen interface button, this mode moves all items that comply with container safety rules directly into the network.
When using smart deposit, players can select between two item matching modes. Same matching operates as the default, treating identical item IDs as matching regardless of different enchantments or tool durabilities, with stricter handling for potential container items. Exact matching requires items to share identical item IDs, NBT data, and component data.
Targeting and Interface Controls
By default, the addon sets its target network identifier to -1, causing transfers to automatically follow the active Beyond Dimensions main network. Here's the thing, players can also bind transfers to a designated network ID or clear custom bindings via target commands.
To prevent accidental item transfers while typing in search boxes or chat inputs, hotkey triggers are ignored when an input field is focused. In addition, players can hide buttons, disable shortcuts, or turn off one-click deposits across specific interface menus based on screen class name prefixes.
Safety Measures and Configuration
The mod implements multiple server-side safeguards to minimize duplication and item loss risks:
- Validating containers on the server before executing transfers.
- Simulating dimensional network capacity before extracting items from containers.
- Skipping unsafe inventory slots during deposit operations.
- Enforcing a default 250-millisecond cooldown per player to throttle rapid consecutive requests.
Configuration can be handled entirely in-game using the /bs_addon command suite, which automatically saves modifications to config/beyondstorage.properties.
Compatibility and Versions
Beyond storage addon is distributed under the MIT License. The mod supports Forge on Minecraft 1.20.1, alongside NeoForge on Minecraft 1.21.1, 1.21.11, 26.1.2, and 26.2. Version 1.21.11 requires a compatible release of Beyond Dimensions.
