Gun Scaling is a Fabric mod for Minecraft 1.20.1. It requires both client and server to run. The mod connects two other mods: Soulslike Weaponry and Ranged Weapon API. Its main purpose is to let gun damage scale with player attributes. Specifically silver bullets from Soulslike Weaponry gain damage based on the ranged_weapon:damage attribute. This scaling happens through the Ranged Weapon API system. The mod does not add new guns or change how guns fire. It only changes how damage is calculated for existing guns from Soulslike Weaponry. You can choose how the scaling works. There are two modes: additive and multiplicative. In additive mode the attribute value is added to base damage. In multiplicative mode the attribute value multiplies the base damage. You can also set a custom multiplier in the config to fine-tune the final damage output. And this gives players control over how strong attribute scaling feels. The mod is built for the Prominence 2 modpack. A author warns that installing it outside that pack may cause unexpected calculations. This is because it relies on specific mechanics from its dependencies. If those mechanics aren't present or behave differently the mod may not work as intended. Soulslike Weaponry and Ranged Weapon API are required dependencies. Without them Gun Scaling won't load. The mod uses the MIT license. It does not support Forge or NeoForge. Only Fabric is supported. It does not claim to work on any Minecraft version other than 1.20.1. The mod does not change server-side logic alone. Both client and server must have it installed for it to function. It doesn't add new items, recipes, or entities. That only modifies damage calculation for existing guns. The configuration options are additive scaling, multiplicative scaling, and a custom multiplier. These are the only verified features described in the sources.
