de masa

MiniHUD is a client-side Fabric mod that adds configurable mini-F3 information and visual overlays for chunks, light levels, structures, and shapes.

O nosso resumo

O que este projeto faz

what MiniHUD does

MiniHUD gives you a smaller, configurable alternative to Minecraft's F3 screen. You choose which information lines appear, then adjust their order, font size, and color. This lets you keep selected details visible without opening the full debug display.

It also draws optional guides over the world. Available overlays include light levels, slime chunks, world spawn chunks, random tick range, region file boundaries, heightmaps, and structure bounding boxes. Generic shape tools can render forms such as circles, cylinders, and spheres.

It's a practical fit if you build technical projects, inspect world boundaries, or want a few debug details on screen while you play. Everything runs on the client.

controls and configuration

The default master rendering key is H. And it switches off all MiniHUD rendering at once, including both information lines and overlays. The default shortcut for the in-game configuration menu is H + C.

MiniHUD depends on MaLiLib. So that library provides its configuration menus, settings system, and hotkey support. It has no other hard dependencies, and Fabric API isn't required.

multiplayer behavior

MiniHUD itself shouldn't be installed on a server because it has no server-side function. Most of the mod is client-side, but some displays need information that a normal multiplayer client doesn't receive.

Structure bounding boxes work in single-player. On a multiplayer server, that renderer needs Servux installed server-side so MiniHUD can request the real bounding-box data from the world. MiniHUD doesn't estimate those boxes from the world seed.

The slime chunk overlay has a separate multiplayer option. If you know the server's world seed, you can enter it through a chat message using minihud-seed 12345. MiniHUD captures a correctly formatted message instead of sending it. Later game versions also accept a leading slash. A mistyped slash command can still reach the server and appear in its console.

The slime overlay marks which chunks are slime chunks. Its height doesn't show the slime spawning range. By default, the top of the overlay moves to your current Y position when you enable it. You can also hold the overlay's toggle key and use the mouse wheel to change that height.

compatibility and caveats

The current Modrinth record lists Fabric builds for Minecraft 26.3, 26.2, 26.1.2, 26.1.1, 26.1, and 1.21.11. The client side is required, while server-side installation is unsupported.

The standard sphere renderer has a known shape problem. Since its generation code was rewritten for Minecraft 1.18, at least one side can appear crooked. Here's the thing, the Adjustable Spawn Sphere uses different code and may work as a temporary substitute, though it isn't perfectly symmetrical between its horizontal and vertical dimensions.

MiniHUD is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only.
