Slabbed OverviewSlabbed changes how Minecraft treats slab surfaces by allowing blocks and objects that normally require full-block support to use the top face of slabs as valid ground. This includes torches, lanterns, chains, flower pots, and full blocks, which now sit flush at the correct height instead of floating or misaligning.## How It WorksThe mod adjusts placement logic so objects align with the actual slab surface rather than snapping to full-block grid positions. Once placed, a block’s height is locked in at placement time, preventing drift from chunk reloads or neighbor updates. Crosshair targeting and selection outlines also adjust to match the true position of lowered blocks, eliminating ghosting and misplacement.## Supported Slab TypesSlabbed recognizes the top face of these blocks as valid support:- Bottom slabs (y + 0.5)- Top slabs (y + 1.0)- Double slabs (y + 1.0)Other partial blocks like stairs, fences, walls, trapdoors, and panes are intentionally excluded from this behavior.## CompatibilitySlabbed requires either Fabric or NeoForge loader depending on your Minecraft version. Fabric builds need Fabric API installed. The mod functions on both client and server, but for multiplayer, installation on all clients and the server is required to maintain synchronized visuals and targeting.Supported Minecraft versions are 1.20.1, 1.21.1, 1.21.11, and 26.3.## Terrain Slabs IntegrationWhen used with Countered's Terrain Slabs, terrain slabs become first-class support surfaces. Objects placed on them lower to sit flush and can stack naturally. However, a custom Terrain Slabs slab placed directly on top of a vanilla slab doesn't yet lower, though the reverse (vanilla slab on Terrain Slabs) works correctly.## Current LimitationsSome features remain under refinement:- Rails and redstone components may exhibit visual or connection edge cases.- Heavily modded blocks with custom shapes, rendering, or collision models may require additional compatibility work.## StatusSlabbed is currently in beta, with features added incrementally after testing to ensure stability.
