Better Tab Info is a client-side mod that enhances the Minecraft tab list with extra information and display options. So it works on the client only and doesn't require any server-side installation.
The mod adds numerical ping and colored TPS to the tab list footer. These values update in real time while you're connected to a server. The TPS value is estimated from client-side packets, so its accuracy can vary depending on server behavior or connection quality.
You can scroll through the player list when it exceeds the visible area. This is useful on servers with many players online. Look, the number of rows and columns shown can be adjusted in the mod’s settings to fit your screen or preference.
Better Tab Info enables the tab list in singleplayer worlds, where it's normally hidden. It also restores player heads next to names in offline servers, matching the appearance seen on online servers.
Configuration is accessed via the /bettertab command or through the Mod Menu for Fabric and NeoForge, or the built-in config menu for Forge. The mod depends on Craft Config Lib for its settings interface. Fabric API is required for Fabric and NeoForge versions. Mod Menu is optional but recommended for easier configuration.
