[SBW] Frontline Combat Pack

Overview

Frontline Combat Pack is a Forge mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 that extends the Superb Warfare mod. It introduces approximately 90 new vehicles designed for frontline combat scenarios. The pack requires both the client and server to have the mod installed. But it operates as an addon, meaning it relies on the base Superb Warfare mod for core functionality.

Vehicle Roster

The pack covers lots of military and agricultural equipment. Armored fighting vehicles include the BTR-80, BTR-82A, BTR-3E, BTR-4MV1, LAV-25, BMP-1, BMP-2, BRDM-2, AAVP, T-72AV, and the full Stryker family. Light vehicles and technicals feature the HMMWV family, MATV, Gaz Tigr, Kozak, Novator, UAZ, DPV buggies, and Toyota Hilux technicals. Logistics trucks include the Ural, Kamaz, and M939, along with towable trailers. Helicopters include the AH-6, MH-6 Littlebird, Huey, MI-17, Venom, and Viper. Artillery and air defense platforms include the M109 Paladin, 2S19 Msta-S, and Pantsir-S1. Emplacements cover the M2, DShK, MG3, Mk19, AGS-17, TOW, Kornet, and ZiS-3 field gun. Farming equipment includes the John Deere tractor, combine harvester, seeder, and cultivator.

Gameplay Features

Every vehicle uses Superb Warfare's native systems for driving, weapon handling, damage, and the HUD. This ensures consistent behavior across the mod. Artillery platforms feature indirect fire with a gunner's readout for pitch, bearing, and range. Honestly, vehicles support both single-crew and multi-crew modes. You can switch between these modes in the in-game config screen, accessible via the F8 key by default. Storage capacity is set per vehicle. Cargo trucks hold more than gun trucks, and some vehicles have no storage. Farm machines use dedicated bulk holds for crops, compatible with hoppers and automation. Most vehicles include multiple paint schemes, such as desert, woodland, and winter. You can cycle through these using a Spray Can.

Requirements and Compatibility

You need Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge 47 or newer, and Superb Warfare 0.8.9. The mod is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only. An optional dependency, Vic's Point Blank, enables a launcher compatibility option in the config. This option corrects launcher behavior when firing at vehicles. By default, this option only works with Frontline Combat Launchers. So it has no effect on other Point Blank launchers unless configured. The pack works without these optional components.
