Overview
Illager Invasion is a Java mod by author Fuzs. The project is a port of Illager Expansion. It focuses on bringing new illager foes into the game for you to fight.
The project is released under the MIT License. That means the code is open source. You can inspect or modify it under standard open software terms.
What the mod covers
The project is organized under three main categories. These are Adventure, Mobs, and World Generation.
The mob focus means you'll run into new illager enemies during survival play. They add combat variety when you run into hostile groups. The adventure and world generation aspects place these enemy encounters into the broader environment. You will find them out in the terrain as you explore.
If you like hunting down hostile mobs, this mod is built for your playstyle. It gives you extra combat challenges while keeping the core illager theme intact.
Setup requirements
Both client and server installations are required for this mod.
A client-only setup will not work. A server-only setup will not work either. Both sides must have the mod installed to sync properly.
When you play single player, your client runs a built-in local server. Real talk, installing the mod on your client covers both requirements in that case. If you run a dedicated multiplayer server, you need to put the mod file into the server mods folder. Every player who joins that server must also have the mod installed in their client mods folder.
Loader and version support
The mod runs on two distinct mod loaders. You can use Fabric or you can use NeoForge.
Platform support is limited to a verified list of game versions. Illager Invasion works on Minecraft 26.2, 26.1.2, 26.1.1, 26.1, and 1.21.11.
You must run one of these exact game versions. Don't assume compatibility with other versions. Check your loader and your game version before you add the file to your mods folder. If you've the right version of Fabric or NeoForge ready, you can drop the file in and start playing.
