The Shire is a legendary semi-creative, free-building Minecraft server that has maintained the same world without a single reset since October 15, 2010. With over 14 years of continuous operation, this close-knit community has created one of the most historically rich and architecturally diverse servers in Minecraft history. Players start in survival mode and earn creative permissions upon reaching the Yeoman rank, allowing them to build anywhere except spawn. The server boasts one of the largest railway networks on any public Minecraft server, featuring 516 railway stations spread across 65 meticulously designed lines with unique station buildings, tunnels, and bridges. The world showcases an incredible variety of building styles ranging from medieval castles to modern skyscrapers, each with its own lore and history. The Shire offers a vanilla-like experience without intrusive plugins, complemented by a survival server component with online leaderboards for tracking advancements and skills.
