Minecraft Biome Finder

Find the nearest biome of any kind from your position, for any Java seed.

Quick answer:Enter your seed, pick a biome and type your current X and Z. The finder checks the world outward from you and shows the closest spot of that biome, with a /tp command.

Java 26.x uses the 1.21.4 world generation model here. Tested against a real 26.3 server it matched 101 of 104 structure positions and 194 of 200 biome samples. The new Dappled Forest (26.3) and Sulfur Caves (26.2) are not shown yet.

How accurate is it?

Everything is generated in your browser with the open-source cubiomes library, and we checked it against real Minecraft servers (Java 1.21.4 and 26.3): 101 of 104 sampled structure positions were real structures, and at least 194 of 200 biome samples matched. Your seed is never sent to our server.

Frequently Asked Questions

It checks the world every 32 blocks, ring by ring outward from your position, and reports the closest match. The biome's edge can start up to about 32 blocks nearer.
Yes. Lush Caves, Dripstone Caves and the Deep Dark are searched at Y -40 instead of the surface.
Some biomes are rare or far from land. Mushroom Fields only form far out in the ocean. Try the largest radius, or check that the biome exists in your version (Pale Garden needs 1.21.4 or newer).
Dappled Forest arrived in 26.3 and the generator we use does not model it yet. It will appear once it does.
Usually within a few dozen blocks. The game also samples every 32 blocks, but in square rings, so it can pick a slightly different spot.
Yes for biomes: Java and Bedrock share biome generation since 1.18, so the same seed gives the same biomes.
